Dear Saint Spyridon Families,
The new academic year for our Plutarchos Greek School is upon us and after thirty two years of dedicated service as our Greek School Principal, Mrs. Labrini Stavrou will not be returning next year. Our community is grateful to Kyria Labrini for her decades of leadership and teaching excellence in our Plutarchos Greek School.
Through the intercessions of our patron Saint Spyridon, our Plutarchos Greek School has become the Plutarchos Hellenic Language and Heritage Academy and our School Board has worked hard all summer to respond to the needs of our students and our Greek School families.  In our efforts to  instill in our children the love and knowledge of their Orthodox Faith and cultural heritage, we have added another Ellinomathia session for B1 & B2 testing that will offer the seal of biliteracy to our students’ High School transcripts; we have added more time for Greek music and dance; and we are introducing new academic and conversational elements to our class structure. The Saint Spyridon family has been blessed with many individuals that dedicate their precious time and effort to help make our community a growing and loving place in which to raise our children.
Please read the enclosed information and registration forms for the various programs.  Registration will be held in the months of August and September during church office hours, (Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) and on Sunday, August 25th, September 1st & 8th after the Divine Liturgy.  However, we urge parents to register their child/children as soon as possible so that we can properly plan and prepare.  If you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford the tuition for any of these programs please contact Fr. Tilemahos to confidentially discuss an arrangement.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Church office at (708) 385-2311.  We pray that our Lord Jesus Christ will bless us with a very rewarding and productive year.
In Christ’s Service,
Fr. Tilemahos Alikakos, Protopresbyter
